Charterhouse is working with a leading and innovative e-commerce platform, whose business continues to diversify across the Middle East market, within their niche retail segment. This growth requires the introduction of financial stewardship to ensure that the required governance and best practice is introduced. This role will take ownership of all financial operations and reporting processes to ensure the development of strong financial accounting practices, under IFRS and along with a planning function that will deliver accurate financial support from a commercial prospective. With a reporting line to the Managing Director, this position will be critical in supporting performance reports for the strategic development of the business. This financial management function will focus heavily on areas of cash flow management, working capital and supply chain and inventory cost management. From a reporting and accounting prospective, the finance team under the Finance Director, shall be expected to deliver accurate board reports and financial statements whilst also managing the Audit activity and execution. The successful candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA), as a prerequisite and an MBA would be a distinct advantage. The client shall assess technical understandings of IFRS and you will be expected to deliver a sound and robust knowledge of these principles. In addition, the client will look for a strong commercial and planning background, whereby internal and risk management controls can be introduced and rolled out where appropriate. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding across areas of supply chain, inventory management and retail distribution.
